Green is the colour of growth, vitality and renewal. It stands for balance and harmony of mind, body and emotions. Green is also associated with nature, health and healing. The dark green colours relate to money and wealth while the brighter green colours cover growth and freshness.

Creating the colour green

The colour green is a secondary colour, which is created by mixing two primary colours yellow and blue with each other. Adding more blue gives a cooler turquoise colour and adding more yellow gives a warmer yellow-green colour.

Difference between piece dye and yarn dye

Piece dyeing is dyeing after weaving the fabric. This method is mostly used with solid colours. An advantage of dyeing this way is that colour decisions can be made after the fabric has been manufactured. This process is therefore suitable for ''quick response'' orders. 

The technique which is used when a fabric is yarn dyed is as following. First the yarns are dyed, and after dyeing the coloured yarns will be woven into a fabric. For example a stripe or check design. Fabrics which are yarn dyed also have a good colour fastness. This means that the colour of the fabric does not fade easily. 

Yarn dyed overprint fabrics are created in multiple steps. Firstly the yarns are dyed and woven into a fabric. After weaving, the fabric is printed.
